Costa del Riccio Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Costa del Riccio is a company inspired by history and anchored in tradition. We produce organic extra-virgin olive oil from few, selected varieties of olive trees: Gentile di Larino, Olivastro di Montenero and Leccino. Our traditions are as deep as the roots of our trees, and as rich as the land in which they grow.
The small olive groove has been in the D'Elisijs family for over 400 years, and the production has supported Amalia and her three daughters during the harsh times of World War II. The land has them been inherited by Giustina, who developed a vineyard and added about a hundred plants of Leccino to the property, leaving Maria, her daughter, with a substantial number and a nice variety of local species. In 2013, Rita has started managing the groove and vineyard, requesting the organic and denomination of protected origin certifications according to the strict regulations of the European Community. Rita's production, on November 2015, was 300 liters of green, dense, fruity, extra-virgin olive oil.
